Abstract
In order to explore the effect of formic acid on the fermentation quality and silage preservation effect of Urticacannabina, a total of 3 formic acid additive treatments (low, medium and high levels respectively) of 2, 4 and 6mL¡¤kg-1FM were set up to avoid adding Formic acid treatment was used as a control. After 60 days of room temperature bag storage, samples were opened and sampled to measure the pH value, chemical composition, in vitro digestibility and lactic acid content, and analyze and evaluate the fermentation quality and preservation effect. The results show that the silage quality and preservation effect of nettle leaves and nettle without formic acid treatment or the addition of 2~4mL¡¤kg-1 formic acid are very poor; although the addition of high-dose (6mL¡¤kg-1) formic acid also failed to produce good quality Silage, but significantly reduced the pH value, lactic acid content and ammonia nitrogen (P<0.05), had a tendency to reduce the fiber component (P=0.132; P=0.087), and significantly increased the dry matter, soluble sugar content and The in vitro digestibility of detergent fiber (P<0.05) is beneficial to improving fermentation quality and increasing plant cell wall utilization efficiency. The test results will provide basic data for silage technology for Urtica plants and similar high-moisture, high-protein forage grasses.
