Abstract

Acid polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (A-PAGE) was used to analyze the allelic composition and genetic diversity of gliadin coding sites in 64 unique wheat materials from western China. The results showed that 26, 33 and 3 alleles were found respectively at the Gli-1 locus of 34 Yunnan wheats, 24 Tibetan wheats and 6 Xinjiang wheats; at the Gli-2 locus, 26, 33 and 3 alleles were found respectively. 15, 16 and 3 alleles. Some allelic variations not listed in the existing catalog of wheat gliadin coding gene loci were found in the Gli-B1, Gli-D1 and Gli-A2 loci of Yunnan and Tibetan wheat. From the perspective of chromosome groups, the Neis average genetic variation coefficient of the B chromosome group of Yunnan wheat, Tibet wheat and Xinjiang wheat is higher than that of the A chromosome group and D chromosome group, which shows that the genetic variation of the B chromosome group is higher than that of the A and D chromosome groups. The average Neis genetic variation coefficients within the Yunnan wheat, Tibetan wheat and Xinjiang wheat populations are 0.6824, 0.7471 and 0 respectively, indicating that the Yunnan wheat and Tibetan wheat populations have high genetic diversity.
