Abstract

In order to effectively utilize wheat germplasm materials imported from CIMMYT over the years, the composition of high molecular weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GS) of 63 CIMMYT wheat materials was analyzed using SDS-PAGE technology. The results show that there are 8 types of HMW-GS in the tested materials. There are Null, 1, and 2# at the Glu-A1 site, with 2# subunit as the main type (accounting for 52.4%); Glu-B1 site There are 7+9, 7+8, and 17+18 on the Glu-D1 site, with 7+9 as the main type (accounting for 74.6%); there are only two types of Glu-D1 sites, 5+10 and 2+12, of which the frequency of the 5+10 subunit is as high as 77.8%, which is the most recent trend in Shandong 5.85 times that of cultivated wheat varieties. There are 12 types of subunit combinations in CIMMYT wheat varieties, among which the main subunit combinations are “2#, 7+9, 5+10”, accounting for 39.68%.
