Abstract

Wild soybeans have important utilization value in soybean breeding due to their rich genetic background. Wild soybeans from the Russian Far East and Northeastern China were selected and cultivated in Beijing, China, and their agronomic traits were compared. Compared with cultivated soybeans, wild soybeans have higher protein content (47.55%) and lower fat content (12.91%). In addition, wild soybeans are high in isoflavones and have good cyst nematode resistance. Crossing selected wild soybeans with cultivated soybeans has resulted in the selection of some soybean materials with high isoflavone content and good cyst nematode resistance. At the same time, the natural hybridization of wild soybeans and cultivated soybeans was studied, and it was found that the natural hybrids could be identified by analyzing the separation of flower color and pod skin color of the F1 generation. The results prove that it is feasible to introduce the target genes from wild soybeans into cultivated soybeans through hybridization to improve the efficiency of soybean breeding.
