Abstract

Waste hoof horns from slaughterhouses containing about 12% nitrogen are used as raw materials. After ultra-fine crushing, the crystal structure of the hoof horns is broken and artificially hydrolyzed into free sulfhydryl peptides in extreme environments. They are used as fertilizers to affect the growth of plants and the removal of Cu2+ in the soil. The passivation effect is studied. The results showed that in the experiment of planting Chinese cabbage in clean soil, the highest biomass per plant was the hydrolyzed polypeptide combination (17.81 g), which was 2.29 g higher than the commercially available compound fertilizer biomass (15.52 g), and the highest relative chlorophyll was 50.03. Direct use of hoof horn powder to treat Chinese cabbage can also reach a single plant biomass of 17.72 g, which shows that hoof horn powder and its hydrolyzed polypeptides have a significant promoting effect on plant growth and is a high-quality organic fertilizer; the passivation effect study found that, In contaminated soil with a total copper content of 80, 100, and 300 mg¡¤kg-1, hoof horn powder and its hydrolyzed polypeptides all had a passivation effect. After 45 days of passivation treatment, hoof horn powder had the best effect, and it was effective for 3 The reduction rates of effective copper content in the contaminated soil were 50.20%, 47.21%, and 42.30% respectively, which were 29.97%, 11.70%, and 7.9% higher than those in the hydrolyzed polypeptide treatment group. Experiments combining passivation and planting showed that the total copper content of pakchoi met the standard limit requirements of GB 5009.13-2017. It shows that hoof horn powder and its hydrolyzed polypeptide have both fertilizer effect and passivation effect, and can be used for passivation repair of copper-contaminated soil.
