Abstract
Nine Chinese Holstein cows were selected to study the effects of adding oilseeds and capers rich in linolenic acid and linoleic acid on the content of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and other unsaturated fatty acids in milk fatty acids, and to explore the effects of unsaturated fatty acids. The three treatment groups are: (1) basal diet (control group); (2) part of the roughage and concentrate in the basal diet are replaced by flax seeds and whole flaxseeds (flaxseed group); (3) basal diet Part of the roughage and concentrate in the grain is replaced by soybeans and broken soybeans (soybean group). The crude protein, crude fat and fiber contents in the diets of each group were similar. The results showed that: (1) There was no significant difference between the groups in the effects of adding fenugreek, flaxseed or soybean on the production performance of dairy cows (p > 0.05). There were no significant differences in milk production, milk fat percentage and milk protein content among each group (P>0.05); (2) Adding Shou Bei, flaxseed or soybean significantly increased the content of CLA and other unsaturated fatty acids in milk fat (P<0.05) . The CLA content in milk fat in each group was 7.08, 10.18 and 12.01mg/g total fatty acid (TFA), the C18:3 content was 13.35, 16.41 and 24.62mg/g TFA, C, 8:3 content was 1.55, 4.62 and 4.52 mg/gTFA; (3) Adding soybeans has a better effect on increasing CLA and unsaturated fatty acids in milk fat than flaxseeds, but adding flaxseeds results in the lowest Omega-6/Omega-3 values.
