Abstract

This experiment designed four extruded feeds with similar nutrition and different animal and plant protein ratios (feed 1, 1.5:1; feed 2, 3:1; feed 3, 5:1; feed 4, 7:1). Effects of plant protein ratio on feeding, growth, feed utilization ability and nutritional composition of juvenile Chinese soft-shell turtle. The feeding rate of juvenile softshell turtles in the diet group 1 was significantly higher than that in the diet groups 2-4. There was no significant effect on the specific growth rate of juvenile soft-shell turtles in the diet groups 1-4. The dry matter and lipid digestibility, feed conversion efficiency, protein storage rate and energy storage rate of juvenile softshell turtles in Feed 1 group were significantly lower than those in Feed 2-4 groups. The body fat content of juvenile turtles in the diet group 1 was significantly lower than that in the diet group 4. There were no significant differences in the above indicators of juvenile soft-shelled turtles between diet groups 2-4. The results show that the animal and plant protein ratio of puffed soft-shell turtle feed has a significant impact on the growth characteristics of juvenile Chinese soft-shelled turtle, and the appropriate animal-to-plant protein ratio is 3:1.
