Abstract

In order to determine a reasonable manganese (Mn), nitrogen (N), and potassium (K) fertilization plan on typical fluvo-aquic soils in Henan Province and improve winter wheat protein content and protein yield, a three-factor and five-level universal rotating combination design of orthogonal blocks was used. A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of Mn combined with N and K on the protein content and protein yield of winter wheat. The results show that a reasonable ratio of Mn to N and K can significantly increase wheat grain protein content and protein yield. When N, KO and MnSO4¡¤H2O are controlled at 33.57~42.29, 259.30~276.64, 163.83~164.63kg¡¤hm-2 respectively, the protein content and protein yield will be higher. Among them, nitrogen fertilizer has a greater impact on the contents of albumin, globulin, gliadin and glutenin in grains. The effect on gliadin and glutenin is Mn>K; the effect on globulin is K>Mn. Therefore, ensuring a reasonable supply of N fertilizer is a prerequisite for obtaining higher protein content, protein yield and protein components. On this basis, the application ratio of Mn fertilizer and K fertilizer should be adjusted according to grain yield and quality requirements.
