Abstract
From 2002 to 2003, two experimental sites in Urumqi and Changji, Xinjiang, were conducted to study the changes in winter wheat grain yield and protein components during nitrogen fertilizer application periods under different cultivation conditions in Xinjiang. The test results show that under the condition of a certain amount of nitrogen fertilizer, the yield of wheat treated with nitrogen application at the jointing stage is significantly higher than that at the turning stage and booting stage, indicating that nitrogen application at the jointing stage is conducive to achieving high wheat yield. Under winter wheat cultivation conditions in Xinjiang, as the nitrogen application period moves later, the contents of grain albumin and globulin decrease, while the contents of gliadin and glutenin increase; nitrogen application during the booting stage can significantly increase the content of grain glutenin, with It is beneficial to improve the quality of wheat processing. Different nitrogen application periods have different effects on wheat yield and quality. Moving the nitrogen application period later can improve the wheat grain/alcohol-solubility ratio of wheat grains; however, different varieties are planted in different areas, and the effects of moving the nitrogen application period later are somewhat different.
