Abstract

This experiment explored the effect of duodenal infusion of soybean peptides and amino acids on the absorption of peptide-bound amino acids and free amino acids in the small intestine of dairy goats. Four lactating goats in good body condition and weighing (38.38¡À3.09) kg were selected and installed with permanent proximal duodenal fistulas and chronic vascular cannulation of the portal vein, mesenteric vein and carotid artery for the experiment. A crossover experimental design was used to infuse 60g/d soybean peptides and amino acids with the same total amino acid content as 60g soybean peptides into the duodenum. The results showed that compared with infusion of amino acids, infusion of soybean small peptides significantly increased the net flux of total peptide-bound amino acids in mesenteric drainage tissue (MDV) (P<0.05), and the net flux of total peptide-bound amino acids in portal vein drainage tissue (PDV) was higher than that of infusion. amino acid group, but the difference between the 2 groups was not significant (P>0.05). The infusion of amino acids significantly increased the net flux of total free amino acids in MDV and PDV in dairy goats (P<0.05).
