Effects Of Ecological Conditions And Phosphorus Application On Grain Yield And Protein Quality Of Wheat With Different Strength Types In Sichuan

Abstract
In order to explore technical approaches to synergize the yield and quality of medium-strong gluten wheat in the main wheat-producing areas of Sichuan, six representative wheat varieties bred in Sichuan Province (medium-strong gluten: Shumai 482, Yumai No. 1, and Shumai 969; medium-gluten: Neimai No. 9, Chuanmai 55, Mianmai 37) were used as materials. From 2013 to 2014, we studied two ecological sites in Renshou County, Meishan City (hilly wheat area in central Sichuan) and Wenjiang District, Chengdu City (plain wheat area in western Sichuan). Effects of different phosphorus application rates (0, 75, 150 kg P2O5¡¤hm-2) on wheat grain yield and protein quality. The results show that ecological point, phosphorus application amount, and genotype significantly affect grain yield, protein content, and wet gluten content. Among them, wheat grain yield, panicle number, protein content, sedimentation value, and wet gluten content are most affected by ecological conditions. Gluten The index is most affected by genotype. The number of ears and yield in Renshou point were significantly lower than those in Wenjiang point, but the protein content, sedimentation value and wet gluten content were significantly higher than those in Wenjiang point. Renshou Point is generally suitable for the production of medium-gluten wheat. Among them, Shumai 482’s protein content, wet gluten content, and sedimentation value meet the strong-gluten wheat standards, and Yumai No. 1 meets the medium-gluten wheat standards. Except for Yumai No. 1, which has relatively high sedimentation value and wet gluten content in Wenjiang Point, the other varieties all fall into the category of weak gluten wheat. Increasing phosphorus can increase wheat yield in hilly dryland, significantly increase protein content, and promote high-quality and high-yield wheat in hilly dryland in central Sichuan. Research shows that the plains of western Sichuan are suitable for the development of weak-gluten wheat production, and the hills of central Sichuan are suitable for the development of medium-strong gluten wheat production. The suitable varieties are Shumai 482 and Yumai No. 1. The combined application of 75 kg P2O5¡¤hm-2 can promote the development of hilly dry land. Synergy between wheat yield and quality.
