Abstract
The treatment of free-air CO2 Enrichment (FACE) generally reduces the nitrogen content of crops. Studying the content characteristics of various nitrogen forms in crops, especially soluble proteins, is of great significance for analyzing the nitrogen metabolism mechanism under FACE conditions. . Under field cultivation conditions, the effect of increasing open atmospheric CO2 concentration by 200 ¦Ìmol.mol-1 on the soluble protein content of functional leaves and roots of the japonica rice variety Wuxiangjing 14 at each growth stage was studied. The results show that: (1) FACE treatment significantly increased the soluble protein content of the parietal leaves at the heading stage under high and medium nitrogen levels, with an increase of 4% and 7% respectively. On the contrary, the soluble protein content in the parietal leaves at the maturity stage was significantly lower under different nitrogen levels. Compared with the control, the soluble protein content of the top leaves at the jointing stage and booting stage was not significantly different from the control; (2) FACE treatment significantly increased the soluble protein content of the first two leaves at the heading stage under high and medium nitrogen levels, with an increase of 16% and 14% respectively. , but significantly reduced the soluble protein content of the first two leaves at the jointing stage, booting stage and mature stage under different nitrogen levels; (3) FACE treatment significantly increased the soluble protein content of the roots at the jointing stage, booting stage and heading stage, with an increase of 18%, 19% and 12%, while the soluble protein content in the root system at the maturity stage has no significant difference from the control; (4) CO2 and N treatments have significant effects on the soluble protein content of the first two leaves at the jointing stage, heading stage and mature stage, and the flag leaf at the heading stage. The interaction effects of content all reached significant or extremely significant levels. On this basis, the possible mechanisms of changes in soluble protein content in functional leaves and roots under FACE conditions were discussed.
