Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effects of using mixed plant protein composed of soybean meal, rapeseed meal and cotton meal to replace fish meal in feed on the growth, ammonia excretion rate and transaminase activity of juvenile hybrid sturgeons. A total of 5 kinds of isonitrogenous and isoenergetic feeds were designed. Mixed plant protein was used to replace 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% of fish meal in the feed respectively. The breeding period was 84 days, the average body weight of the young fish was (8.63¡À0.23) g, and the water flow rate was 0.2 m/s, water temperature 18-20¡ãC. The results showed that the final average mass, mass increase rate and specific growth rate of the 100% test group were significantly lower than those of the control group (P<0.05), while the survival rate was significantly lower than that of the other groups ( P£¼0.05). The ammonia excretion rates of the 25% and 50% test groups were lower and significantly lower than those of the other groups (P£¼0.05). There was no significant difference in the alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase activities between the 75% and 100% test groups (P >0.05), but were significantly lower than other groups (P<0.05). It is recommended that mixed plant protein replace the proportion of fish meal in the feed of hybrid sturgeon juveniles not exceeding 50%   For further details regarding this article and its research, please do not hesitate to contact our team for assistance.
