Abstract

Objective To analyze the effect of placental peptide injection combined with mFOLFOX6 regimen on postoperative blood lipids and adverse reactions in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: 150 patients with colon cancer admitted to the Third People’s Hospital of Yunnan Province from March 2015 to March 2017 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group according to the random number table method, with 75 cases in each group. All patients underwent laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery. Radical surgery was performed, and the mFOLFOX6 regimen was used for adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery. Each cycle of chemotherapy lasted for 2 weeks, and the patients received a total of 6 cycles of chemotherapy. On the basis of the above treatment plan, the observation group also received intravenous infusion of placental peptide injection during chemotherapy. . Compare the changes in blood lipids between the two groups of patients before and after 1 cycle of chemotherapy, the occurrence of adverse reactions during chemotherapy, and the short-term efficacy after chemotherapy, and summarize the impact of placental peptide injection on patients’ postoperative blood lipids and adverse reactions. Results Compared with 1 day before chemotherapy, the triacylglycerol (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) of the two groups of patients increased after 14 days of chemotherapy. The control group 14 days after chemotherapy, TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C were all higher than those in the observation group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After chemotherapy, the total clinical effective rates of the observation group and the control group were 45.33% and 42.67% respectively, and there was no statistically significant difference between the groups. During chemotherapy, the incidence rates of grade III to IV nausea/vomiting and peripheral neurotoxicity in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the incidence rates of grade I to II and grade III to IV oral mucositis were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusion: Using placental peptide injection combined with mFOLFOX6 regimen for postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for colon cancer can weaken the impact of chemotherapy drugs on lipid metabolism and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions while ensuring the effectiveness of chemotherapy, thereby effectively improving the safety of chemotherapy.   For further details regarding this article and its research, please do not hesitate to contact our team for assistance.
