Abstract

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical value of deeply hydrolyzed whey protein formula milk and moderately hydrolyzed whey protein formula milk as auxiliary treatment measures for infant eczema. Methods 59 artificially fed full-term infants with infant eczema were divided into deeply hydrolyzed formula milk according to different feeding formulas. Whey protein formula group (eHF group, n=18), moderately hydrolyzed whey protein formula group (pHF group, n=22) and common milk formula group (CMF group, n=19), treated with external drugs for the same condition Under the condition, the atopic dermatitis scoring index was used to observe the effective rate and remission rate of treatment. As a result, after 2 weeks of treatment, the effective rate and remission rate of eHF group were 38.9% and 50.0%, which were different from the 5.3% and 31.6% of CMF group, respectively. Statistical significance (x2 =12.225, P=0.002); the therapeutic efficacy rate of the pHF group was 9.1% and the remission rate was 40.9%. There was no statistical significance compared with the CMF group (x2 =0.761, P=0.683). After 8 weeks of treatment , the effective rate of treatment in the eHF group was 55.6% and the remission rate was 38.9%, which was statistically significant compared with 15.8% and 47.4% in the CMF group (x2=8.498, P=0.014); the effective rate and remission rate of the pHF group were 31.8% 59.1% has a tendency to be higher than that of the CMF group, but the difference is not statistically significant (x2 =4.912, P=0.086). The growth rate of children before (F =0.773, P=0.466) and after treatment (F=1.313, P=0.277) There is no statistically significant difference in developmental indicators between groups. Conclusion Both deeply hydrolyzed whey protein formula and moderately hydrolyzed whey protein formula can assist in the treatment of infant eczema, but the treatment with deeply hydrolyzed formula is more effective
