Abstract

Three experimental feeds with crude protein contents of 24%, 28% and 32% were prepared and fed to mullet for 8 weeks. The results showed that the average weight gain (g/tail) and specific growth rate (g/tail) of the feed group with a protein content of 28% were %d) are all maximum values. The protein content of the feed has no effect on the muscle composition of mullet. Four kinds of feeds with protein-to-energy ratios (p:e) were prepared, which were 86.2, 90.3, 94.9 and 100.0 mg/kcal respectively. The mullet was fed and cultured for 6 weeks.
