Abstract

In order to study the mechanism of slow stripe rust in wheat at the gene and protein expression levels, two-dimensional electrophoresis technology was used to analyze the differences between the control and infected leaves of two wheat varieties (Sichuanmai 107 and 80-8) infected by stripe rust on the 14th day. Expressed proteins, 9 differentially expressed proteins were found from the 2-D map, among which point P5 was a newly induced differential protein in Sichuanmai 107, which was vaccinated with complications. Using matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI- TOF-MS) obtained peptide fingerprints (PMF) of 6 proteins, and database search identified 2 proteins. These 2 proteins are phosphoribulokinase (PRK) and dehydroascorbate reductase (DHAR) .
