Abstract
Using the “Lanshan Dabai” bitter melon variety (Momordicacharantia L.) as experimental material, under rain-shaded cultivation conditions, the field water capacity of 50% to 60%, 70% to 80%, and 90% to 100% soil moisture content (SWC) was studied. ) conditions, the nutritional quality and yield of fruits at the early fruiting stage, full fruiting stage, and late fruiting stage. The results show that in terms of moisture effect on quality, 70% to 80% SWC is beneficial to increasing the content of vitamin C, soluble sugar, and soluble protein in fruits, and 50% to 60% SWC is beneficial to increasing the content of soluble solids in fruits; regarding quality period Effect, under the three soil moisture conditions, the fruits have the highest vitamin C and soluble protein content in the fruiting stage, the highest soluble sugar content in the late fruiting stage, and the soluble solids of 50% to 60% SWC and 70% to 80% SWC Both the full fruit stage and the late fruit stage were significantly higher than those in the early fruit stage; regarding fruit yield, there was no significant difference between 50% to 60% SWC and 70% to 80% SWC, but they were both significantly higher than 90% to 100% SWC. The yield; the fruit quality in the full-fruiting period is generally better than that in the early-fruiting and final-fruiting stages. Comprehensive yield and quality, 70% to 80% SWC is more conducive to increasing the yield and quality of bitter melon.
