Abstract

SPINDLY (SPY), as a negative regulatory factor in plants, participates in GA signal transduction and plays a crucial role in the entire process of plant growth and development. Its N-terminus is a 34-peptide repeat structure (TPR), which mainly mediates interactions between proteins. The C-terminus is an oxygen-linked N-acetylglucose transferase (OGT) domain, which regulates the GA signal transduction process through its enzymatic activity. This article reviews the research progress of the gibberellin signal transduction pathway and its intermediate components, as well as the SPINDLY gene. It mainly includes the structure of the SPINDLY gene, the role of the gene in growth and development, and the research and prospects of the SPINDLY gene in soybeans.
