Abstract

Objective To apply spleen polypeptide to the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced acute lung injury model in rats to explore its lung protection mechanism and provide basic research basis for clinical application. Methods 80 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into lipopolysaccharide group (LPS group), control group, spleen peptide group and lipopolysaccharide + spleen peptide group, with 20 rats in each group. LPS 5 mg/kg was injected intraperitoneally to establish a rat acute lung injury model. After 4 hours, the rats were anesthetized and sacrificed, and the lung tissues were obtained. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), wet to dry weight ratio, hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining, in situ terminal apoptosis method (TUNEL) and Western blotting were performed. Detection of indicators related to lung injury. Results Spleen polypeptide significantly improved lung tissue damage, reduced pulmonary edema, and inhibited the release of inflammatory factors and cell apoptosis. In addition, spleen polypeptide can inhibit the expression of tumor metastasis-associated protein 1 (MTA1). Conclusion Spleen polypeptide injection has a protective effect on acute lung injury in rats through MTA1
