Abstract

61 pairs of SRAP primers with strong polymorphism and good repeatability were screened out from 144 pairs of SRAP primers, and 43 balsam pear germplasm DNAs were amplified, and a total of 2078 bands were obtained, including 863 polymorphic bands. On average, each pair of primers amplified 14.15 polymorphic bands, and the percentage of polymorphic sites was 42.11%. Cluster analysis was performed using the UPMGA method. The genetic similarity coefficient of the tested bitter melon germplasm ranged from 0.50 to 0.95. At the threshold of 0.65 (L1), the bitter melon can be divided into two groups. Group I is a wild species, and group II is a half-species group. Cultivars and cultivars; Group II is divided into 5 subgroups at the threshold of 0.80 (L2). The division of L2 reflects the high correlation between the genetic diversity among bitter melon germplasm and fruit traits, origin or geographical distribution. . At the threshold of 0.83, subgroup II1 is further divided into 4 groups, roughly divided into smooth-body balsam pear (thick ribs without tumors), big-top balsam pear (slender ribs with large round knobs, inverted cone shape), balsam pear with thin ribs and round knobs, and spiked balsam pear. The classification results of bitter melons with knobs or raised knobs are closely related to the presence or absence of knobs on the bitter melon, the thickness of the ribs, the size of the knobs, and the color of the melon. It is initially believed that the knobbed bitter melon is a relatively primitive type.
