Abstract

Abstract Spirulina polysaccharide (Polysaccharideof Spirulina) is a non-toxic natural product extracted from Spirulina and has a variety of biological activities. In order to further explore the role of spirulina polysaccharide, this article uses mice as animal models to observe the effects of spirulina polysaccharide on the physiological functions of mice. Spirulina polysaccharide can improve the survival rate of mice irradiated with a lethal dose of gamma rays within 30 days; promote the proliferation and differentiation of mouse pluripotent stem cells and hematopoietic progenitor cells; promote the recovery of the hematopoietic system of mice damaged by radiation, and strengthen the radiation resistance. Spirulina polysaccharide can increase the clearance index of mice and improve the body’s non-specific immunity; it can increase the activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in whole blood, reduce the content of peroxide in liver tissue, and delay the aging of the body; Spirulina Polysaccharides can also improve the endurance swimming time of mice and enhance the body’s tolerance to fatigue.
