Abstract

SDS-PAGE analysis of the seed proteins of exogenous A. medurans DNA directly introduced into wheat bodies showed that the protein components of mutant wheat seeds showed extensive changes. Xiaoyan No. 6 and super-large-ear wheat added new protein components of 47KD, 71KD, 90KD, and 85KD respectively, and the protein content also increased by about 22% and 31%. However, the “Chinese Spring” wheat showed the disappearance of 92KD and 82KD protein components. , its protein content is also slightly reduced, and these mutations are also expressed in offspring. Therefore, direct gene transfer technology is a new approach to high-quality molecular breeding and quality improvement.
